Summer in Phnom Penh

It's the start of 24! And as many of you might have known I've been here in Phnom Penh for a few weeks to kickstart this summer. After a hectic move in New Haven where I'm pursuing my PhD despite my mother's objection ("You should enter a nuptial commitment only once in your life...šŸ™„"), I'm now here in the Kingdom of Angkor āœŒšŸ»

We have classes everyday from 8 till 4 in the afternoon, grilling our brain with scripture none of us understood. To give you a sneak-peak, this is what the writing looks like :

Aside from that, I'm excited to learn about all the specificities of visual life here and to prepare for my next script. Will be a hybrid art film again merging a personal affective account with general history. More soon xoxo, Carin.
